Tiny Farm
Our farm is based on growing fine vegetables, all 12 months of the year, using intensive, sustainable management practices. The majority of our product come from the 5 large hoop houses on our property. We use lots of solar enery to heat our hoop houses and huge amounts of recycled organic matter (compost) to provide fertility. We rarely have to use any spays to control pest or diseases, but when we do, all material used on the farm for vegetable production are OMRI (organic use) certified.
I spent many years managing food safety and quality laboratories, I am a 4th generation farmer from the midwest having grown up on a diversified small farm. The team at Tiny Farm invites you to enjoy our safe, delicious, quality produce at the local farmers markets and fine restaraunts in the Durham/Chapel Hill area.

Tiny Farm has always specialized in the production of leafy vegetables and lettuce is king! Over the past 8 years we have adapted many simple practices in a combination that allows us to grown lettuce in NC thoughout the summer months. We time and control the temperature of the seeds and transplant mix, use judicious shade, and utilize a simple misting system to cool the leaves.
